About us

Everbay is a boutique wedding photography studio, Martin and Sue Slechta, a husband and wife based in Prague, and working internationally.

We photographed our own wedding in 2021 in the hills of Spain, just the two of us and a few of our close friends. That day taught us what couples already know but rarely say out loud: that the photographs matter not for how things looked, but for how they felt.

We work on digital and on film. Sue makes hand-painted portraits using flowers from the bouquet, pressed once into the photograph, because flowers hold the feeling of a day the way photographs do. We make albums by hand, archival prints that last generations, and we can even offer carbon prints and wet plates, processes so rare they feel almost like held secrets.

Outside of weddings, Martin has spent years photographing an old violinist who plays in the crooked streets of Prague, a long, slow project that has nothing to do with commerce and everything to do with why he picks up a camera. Sue created Where Memory Blooms, an art series that has become something couples ask about before they ask about anything else.

Our work has taken us from Iceland to New Zealand, from Tuscany to Las Vegas — and back home to Prague, where Martin is still photographing the same violinist in the same crooked street. We have been recognised with awards as “Best European Wedding Story” (WUN) and “Best International Wedding Series” (IPA) for our wedding work, spoken at industry events in Rome (Way Up North) and Barcelona (BodaF), and taught at workshops in Paris (Legacy) and La Graciosa (Wolves). We mention this not to impress, but because it tells you something about how seriously we take the craft.

If something here feels right to you, we’d love to hear about your wedding.

Becoming parents to our son Ben has changed how we understand time, how quickly it moves, and how photographs hold onto what words cannot.

Our own wedding shaped how we see this work. If you’re curious about our story, the engagement and the small details we brought to our own day, we’d love to share it.

One unexpected thread led us here: restoring a little baroque belvedere built in 1730. We’re working on it slowly, with deep respect for what it was and curiosity about what it can become. Follow the adventure on Instagram, it’s in Czech, but the pictures speak for themselves.

Photography keeps giving us the same gift: connection with people at a moment that matters. If something about our story resonates with you, we’d love to hear yours.
